Maryland child custody laws state that judges cannot favor either parent soley because of sex, as doing so has been held to be sexual discrimination.    


--If you are a Mother, it is not in your best interest to assume you will get custody if your case goes to Court, and if you are a Father, it is not in your best interest to assume you would not get custody if your case goes to Court.


Maryland Child Support laws apply to Mothers as well as to Fathers.
