Initial Consultations can be scheduled with Attorney Matney if we find there is no Conflict Of Interest regarding the names of the parties
Initial Consultations with Attorney Matney, can be by
Phone, Zoom video conference, or In-Person.
The cost of initial consultations with Attny. Matney
is $275.00 an hour billed in 5-minute increments.
Attorney Matney's hourly rate for all work done, including consults, meetings, drafting legal documents, Trials and Hearings in Court or
in Deposition, is $275.00 an hour,
whether in-person, by
phone, or via video conference, with No charge for travel-time to or from.
Reservations for appointments with Attny. Matney are made by Pre-Authorizing your credit card for the amount of $275.00, with this Pre-Authorization
not being turned into a Charge until after the time of the appointment for Phone or Online Video appointments.
This Pre-Authorization is not an actual Charge, but
only a reservation of funds on the card to possibly be charged at a later time.   The amount for one hour is what is Pre-Authorized because
this is how long Attny. Matney's average initial consultation lasts.   Pre-authorizations are not
turned into Charges for Phone or Online Video appointments until after the consultations take place and the resulting bills are e-mailed to
If the Phone or Video appointment does not take place for any reason, this Pre-Authorization will not be turned into a Charge.   If a Phone or
Online Video ends before an hour, the Client will be charged for only that amount of time at the $275.00/hr rate.
In-Person appointments are handled differently that Phone or Online Video appointments.   Unlike with Phone or
Online Video appointments, there is a one-hour minimum
charge for all in-person appointments.
In-Person appointments must be made about one week in advance and the pre-authorizations obtained to set them will be turned into charges
two days before the date of the appointment and at that point will become
Clients who become unable to meet in person will be offered an opportunity to use the money they paid for the
In-Person appointment they were not able to keep by having an appointment by Phone or by Online
Video appointment IF they sent an e-mail telling us they need to cancel their in-person appointment at least 24 hours ahead of time.
Clients who do not send us notice of cancelation at least 24 hours ahead of time will not be entitled to a refund or a make-up appointment.
Clients who do not have someone who may possibly take care of their children if they should become ill on the day of their appointments, or
who may be called into work on the days of their appointments, are frequently ill themselves, or who can foresee any other reason they may
not be able to keep their
should schedule Phone or Online Video appointments since the terms for them are more flexible.   Clients scheduling in-person appointments are taking the risk that something
will not prevent them from attending same way they would if they bought tickets to a concert and then could not attend.   If
something happens to prevent the attorney from attending a refund will be issued the next day.
A Pre-Authorization on a MasterCard or
Visa must be obtained to reserve an appointment with Attorney Matney.   We do not accept American Express.
The average Initial Consultation with Attorney Matney takes about an hour.   Your credit card will be charged for the amount of time you spend in your Initial
Consultation.   If you
spend less than an hour in your appointment, you will be charged less than the amount authorized on the card to reserve the appointment.
Attny. Matney encourages everyone to keep their initial consults limited to one hour.
If you choose to spend more than an hour in your initial consultation with her,
you will be charged more than the initial amount that was Authorized or Pre-Authorized on your card, which will be charged in 5-minute
increments, and by signing this form you are agreeing to this term.
